A Reminder The Strata AGM is to be held on Wednesaday March 10th at The Black Swan, 159 High Street, Swanage. Meet at 7.30 for 8.00 start. There will be two items for consideration: 1) Election of officers 2) Constitution of company I have not received any nominations for any of the regular posts (Chair, Treasurer, membership, events) so nominations will be accepted from the meeting. I have not received any notes to circulate about proposed changes to the constitution The official business of the AGM will be followed by an informal Strata meeting to talk about what’s going on in the arts in Purbeck generally. |

The first official meeting of Strata was on the 8th of February 2006 so we're celebrating our fourth birthday at the AGM and meeting on 10th March at the Black swan in Swanage. For more information about Strata's early days...... |

Please make sure you have next Wednesday 10th February in your diary.
We have a number of exciting developments to report.
We will be hearing from Geoff Stubbs about his proposed new magazine for Purbeck He will be looking for contributors and will be bringing along examples of what he intends for potential advertisers ...to see.
We will also be hearing from Angela Sturch who will be looking for ways to enable closer cooperation between artists and Swanage Carnival.
Someone will update us on thrilling proposals for Purbeck Art Week. (Could somebody from PAW do this, please?)
We will be be talking about the future shape of Strata in view of the upcoming AGM.
And there will undoubtedly be all sorts of news from all the members out there doing stuff

Dear All Hooray! At last the council has voted in favour (of Swanage Seen)and we can go ahead! Some 3 years later. Chris, Philippa Keeling & I had to sit through the most boring meeting with Colin Bright contesting everything. Councillors and public alike were equally bored, George Willey fell asleep! We have had site meetings with the builder and Council for the first two, Walter Field and Mark Gertler so hope to swing into action soon. It has been a long time coming! This was in the Echo, Thursday 30th. Steven Smith is going to write more next week, now we have the "go ahead" Thanks again to all supporters and contributors Amazed of Peveril Point Carlotta Celebrations at the August Strata Meeting of Wednesday 12th August at 7.30 at The Black Swan. |
