Making the most of our Jurassic Coast - An introduction for creative businesses and individuals
Friday 18 June 09.45 –-12.00: Prospect House, Peverell Avenue East, Poundbury, DT1 3WE

Hi,

The Jurassic Coast term has reached “tipping point” - recognised and used nationally and internationally, if not globally. Yet, many of us are unclear exactly what it means or why it’s important. If you would like to learn the basics and hear about creative businesses already finding work and inspiration from the coast, then please join us for this useful morning event.

Hosted by Ros Fry, arts marketing consultant and trainer and featuring an entertaining presentation from Ben Wyer, from the official Jurassic Coast team, it’s an enjoyable and informative way to find out what living or working on the Jurassic Coast might mean. We’re also giving participants a free copy of The Official Guide to the Jurassic Coast.

Says Ros, “Ben’s presentation enabled me to get to grips with geology, understand UNESCO world heritage status and start thinking how it might relate to my work. The Jurassic Coast Arts Programme is focusing on large scale, collaborative projects in the lead up to 2012, where the World Heritage Site will form a backdrop to the Olympic sailing events, but even if we are not involved with these, there are loads of other opportunities and we should not ignore something that is drawing so much attention to Dorset. Otherwise we’re fossilising!”

I have a few places left for this event so please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  asap if you would like to attend.
